What have you done (personally and professionally) since you graduated from Mayfield?
After graduating from MJS, I went on to Mayfield Senior School and then USC where I majored in Business with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. Now, I’m the owner of
SCS Creative Group, a small social media marketing agency based in Newport Beach, CA. SCS Creative Group specializes in personalized social media management for small businesses and brands looking to expand their digital presence. I also do work as a micro-influencer and blogger on social media and at
www.preptista.com.
What is your favorite Mayfield memory?
One of my favorite memories from MJS was being a co-chair of the raffle in the Harvest Festival! It felt like such a big responsibility and I remember feeling so accomplished when it was over.
What advice would you pass on to a current Mayfield student?
My best advice would be pay attention to the little things you learn as a student. It’s not always the big things that impact you in the long run, but it’s what you learn in the small moments that really shape who you are. There’s no such thing as a mistake if you learn from it!
Name one thing you learned at Mayfield and have never forgotten.
The phrase “actions not words” is one I’ve taken with me into adulthood and has always served me really well. It’s a standard I have always held myself to as well as the people around me.
If you could go back to MJS, what grade would you do over again and why?
If I could do one grade over again it would be 8th grade. 8th grade was the most fun year! I loved all the different activities and leadership opportunities and I absolutely loved being the head of my family!
How has your Mayfield education contributed/influenced who you’ve become (personally and professional)?
Mayfield has shaped me in so many way it’s hard to keep track. When I was at Mayfield, I learned the importance of always trying my best. No matter what the outcome, as long as I can look back and know I gave it my all, that’s what really counts for me.
Name one thing making you happy right now.
I am genuinely so happy in my life right now! I love living near the beach and I absolutely love my work. It feels like I’m doing exactly what I was always meant to do and I have the most amazing clients ever!
Share one tip everyone should be aware of on social media.
When it comes to social media, I think everyone should look at their feeds with a skeptical eye. It’s easy to take what you see online at face value, but the reality is that’s not always the case. Ask questions, look into things further, and seek out information in order to form your own opinions on everything!
